Office Volume Licence key removal

Hi guys.
So I have a problem. I accidently activated Microsoft Office 2013 using a volume licence key on to the local admin account of a group of computers, when I meant to activate Office on the domain admin account. Obviously I don't want to waste the keys from the volume licence on the local admin account that will never use it, is it possible to remove the licences from those accounts and then add them to the domain account?
I'm not an expert in this field, so sorry if I missed any vital information out, feel free to ask me if I did

Activation is per product, not per user. Once activated it's activated for all users.

But that's not so for Local accounts and accounts on the domain is it? Because when I open office in the domain account, it prompts for a product key.

Try using the key again or check with microsoft, usually the license should be good for the computer but sometimes they require device licensing for such setups.

I stepped through the problem with Microsoft and for some reason it required a reboot and then it worked fine, which is a little embarrassing for me I guess aha! Thank you both for your time, I really appreciate it!
