Try it... heh, you can always reinstall it to the same drive (I hope ;O)

""drive now i want to install it on my new hard drive""

what was up with the old drive, cant you live with the original installation? or can you be more clear about what is the "new drive" you got, where did you put it, and what is on it, what "old" drive is doing now, etc... heh

it works .. i have another 44 times to open it before it won't work anymore... i already installed it on 2 machines and i got a newer harddrive (actually my harddrive replacement i sent in for a RMA - but it is newer because they sent me a newer model) and i want to install it on there but says it as been registered to many times or whatever. soooo ya...

The only answer you can get now is to call MS activation support and repeat all you just have said about RMA'ed drive and blah blah blah, so the support person could issue another registration number for your wonderful Office XP.

You can try to use RegEdit to search any references to OfficeXP in registry and remove them. But remember to make backup of the registry files b4 tampering there =)
