Holy hijacked thread Batman!

You might be able to run it, but it would be a slideshow. Your system needs an overhaul, but get some more ram and a new vidcard at the very least.

On topic, Bioshock's requirements don't look too extreme.

I would guess that anytime your character is outside, the game would crawl. You might have an enjoyable moment once in a while in the dungeons, but I wouldn't count on it.

The following is taken from here: http://www.elderscrolls.com/games/oblivion_faq.htm

What are the PC system requirements?

Recommended:

3 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
1 GB System RAM
ATI X800 series, NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series, or higher video card
Minimum System Requirements:

Windows XP, Windows 2000, Windows XP 64-bit
512MB System RAM
2 Ghz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent processor
128MB Direct3D compatible video card
and DirectX 9.0 compatible driver;
8x DVD-ROM drive
4.6 GB free hard disk space
DirectX 9.0c (included)
DirectX 8.1 compatible sound card
Keyboard, Mouse

512 MB recommended for GPU?

What % of video cards currently in use has 512 MB?

maybe 10%? 20% tops?

I guess that means medium textures for a lot of people.

imaan1115, the way you type, I think I'd refuse to group with you out of principle.

Maybe you should start a new thread asking your question instead of hijacking another thread.

Anyways... I'm assuming for those of you people who have any made major upgrades within the last year to their computer will be able to play this game at comfortable settings. I'm also guessing Unreal Tournament 3 will have similar system requirements.

Hi every1..
Well, I ve been facing some problems running Bioshock PC on my new HP laptop..
My laptop is great for running the game i guessed, but it isn't smooth at all.. like im running it on a pentuim processor..
My laptop has :

i checked the vedio card updates on nvidia, but it seems that my laptop has everything UP TO DATE and that's really driving me crazy!!

Plz If any1 knows what's the problem, or how to solve it, or atleast the reason y it is happening, add in here and ill be gratful :)

I recommend you start a new thread of your own, not resurrect a year old one.

To the regular crowd, now that the thread is resurrected you could also try to help him out. You can't blame him for being off topic now can you?

Ok sorry, I was having fun.....:(

Do you know how many fps's you are getting? What settings are you running the game at? Are you using Anti-aliasing or any other demanding settings? What is your laptops screen resolution? Any more info you can give us would be helpful.

I haven't played this game before so I don't know much about what options it will offer you. But try running the game at lower settings. Try turning off AA if there is any or any other resource demanding settings.

Can you play any other games on your laptop? Are you having any other problems?

Time to bring this thread back to life...again.
I installed Bioshock onto my computer but whenever I run it, it crashes after the load screen. Any ideas why?
Computer specs:
2.2Ghz Duo
3GB RAM
Mobile Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 384MB (I think the video card might be the reason...)
Thanx
