http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/Arctic%20Cooling%20Freezer%207%20Pro/index.htm

The only negative parts of the cooler probably are the somewhat large size (although the size shouldn’t be a problem inside any normal ATX case), and that the cooler cannot perform with the motherboard placed vertically.

Are there any really silent coolers that I CAN put vertically.

Im getting a P180 and a Conroe by the way.

I mean, if i really have to leave the case resting on its side, I dont mind that much, id just prefer not to, and with good reason.

Vertical HSF = tower case on side. Vertical tower case = horizontal HSF.
For a P-180 in normal tower configuration the HSF is mounted horizontal not vertical.
My Freezer 7 Pro runs OK when I have my tower case on its side like when Im working inside the case.
It's not a silent solution but from 24" away I don't notice the fan.
Another Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro review.

Oh, ok, so itll be vertical if the case is laying on its side.

Thats good to know, they should say something about that, kinda got scared for a minute, I thought the heatsink would fall off and land right on my x1900 xt or someth >.<
