if a laptop was upgraded to a 2tb ssd from a 500gb hdd could it have a working android os along with a windows 10 os or would both not work well together? also would a laptop need to be a touchscreen?

Solution
blue stacks is very buggy for sure. remix os is a much better option though it of course has its own issues. but i been running the 3.0 version since it was released and it has worked very well so far.

give that a shot for an android on pc experience better than anything i have seen so far.
well for one thing if a android os could be put on a laptop along with a windows 10 (one of the newer laptops that has a touchscreen) then maybe it would benefit both people who like android and people who like windows 10. its only a idea and theory. also a 2TB SSD would be a better thing for me personally but it can be from a 500gb hdd to a 750gb SSD if you like that more.

You can have 2 OS on a computer just fine, people do it with Mac and windows or Linux and Windows all the time.

You will need to create 2 different partitions on your drive, one for each OS.

Now with android you can just run it in an emulator (a virtual machine) instead of having to fully boot out of windows

As dexxter said, why are you buying a super expensive 2TB SSD?
If you need that much space and this laptop has a DVD drive, you can remove the DVD drive and get a special caddy that will hold a second hard drive.
A 500gb SSD AND a 2tb HDD will be WAY cheaper then a 2gb SSD

easy to do and done all the time. i've had as many as 3 different os's on a laptop and more than that on a desktop. for android, i'd suggest looking into remix os. http://www.jide.com/remixos android ported over to pc. it's the new marshmallow build, pre-rooted and ready to go. you don't even actually have to make a separate partition for it as it creates a linux partition during set-up.

so really, this is not a crazy idea but one that is already done for you and waiting for you to install. it does have touchpad support built in but can be a bit buggy when it comes to wifi adapters. some built in adapters do not work and instead a plug in usb adapter is needed.

by the way i run remix os on my desktop as well as a netbook i use on occasion. installs quickly and runs no problem.

It could be done without upgrading to 2TB SSD. You need to install Windows 10 then x86 version of Android on you PC. And yea idea is good to have both OS. And yes, they will work together because x86 android runs natively on your PC! It is possible on 500GB HDD but if you have ton of money, I wont stop you from getting damn 2TB SSD 😛

remix os is limited to 64 gb of space right now anyway. that is all you can use unless you mount the "other" drive space and fill up that space with android stuff.

so far i have not been able to get the drive mounting to work so am limited with the 64 gb of drive space it set-up during install.

thanks so much guys and since everyone has been wanting to know why i would "want" at 2tb ssd its because honestly i really didn't know how much space it all would take up. everyone here has said that it is possible and i thank all you guys for the help, but i thought that it would take up much more space on a pc than on a smartphone/tablet. also i have this one app on the computer im using now called "blue stacks" and it hasn't worked well on this windows 10 pc and its supposed to allow android apps on a pc.
