Ok so how do I format and reinstall

It's said that if I forgot my bitlocker recovery key that nothing can be done
Other than format or reinstall. I HAve gotton over the fact that I cnt get my drive back . So how do I get my laptop back or should I just throw it away ?

Well assuming you didnt create your restore disks when you got the laptop, you still have the possibility that you didn't destroy the recovery partition, purching your restore/recovery disk set from the manufacturer, finding someone with the same laptop to make you a restrore disk set, or repurchsing the OS.
