ok so i got a new computer a couple days ago. I allready had an old computer with a 1080 so i wanted to put the 1080 in the new computer bc the gpu in the new pc was a 1650. So i tried changing the gpu and when i turned it on it said no signal. I changed to the old gpu again and then it worked. Then i tried to put in the 1080 again, and i struggled a little bit to put it in but finallyi got it in once again it didnt work. So i tried to put in the old one again and that didnt work either. So i am afraid that i damaged the gpu slot. Any tips?

And I will add that even if being a "1000 watt" PSU that does not immediately mean that the PSU is "strong enough".

PSU make, model, wattage, age, condition (original, new, refurbished, used), efficiency, all matter.

There are some really poor PSUs on the market and even with "1000" printed on the side the PSU may only be capable of providing a much lower wattage.

Seconding @Dragos Manea .

Post your system specs.

And add some explanation regarding:

"Then i tried to put in the 1080 again, and i struggled a little bit to put it in but finallyi got it in once again it didnt work"

Add details: what was the nature of the struggle and what did you do to finally get the GPU's inserted?
