OK to run fans at 12V constantly?

I've got my exhaust fans (rear & top) connected to the Fractal Design R4 fan controller which can be set on the fly to run at 5V, 7V and 12V.

If I'm fine with the noise, is it ok to run both fans at 12V constantly or would you guys recommend that I run it at 5V or 7V and then switch to 12V if I'm doing something CPU intensive?

If you need the cooling, running a fan at full speed is fine. I run my exhaust fan and full speed all the time and intakes at about 1/2 during idle modes. You can also change the voltage if you want, no harm in that, purely a personal choice.

Of course. They are +12V DC motors.

Gotcha. I've got my intake fans connected to the PWM CPU header so I let the BIOS fan control do its thing with them. I'll keep the exhaust fans at 12V.
