[SOLVED] OK to set System Volume @ 100%? No distortion?

System set to 100% and most You Tube videos set to 50% (lots of variability on YT, but I picked 3 typical [for me] sources)

Volume on speaker must be set to 50%

That seems high to me, or is that typical? THANKS

Where are you getting this from?

As long as you are getting a clean signal with no distortion I don't see a problem.

The speaker has 3 knobs - Volume, Bass, Treble - 50% is the mid-point

Yeah but nothing HAS to be set at 50%.
Set it for whatever sounds good.
