Well I have MW, BM qnd TRIB all installed buy so far have only been playing
in the main Morrowind area. I have not explored BM or TRIB yet. I was
adveturing in dagon fel and had just recalled back to the creeper to sell
some loot after killing off some orcs. The treasure was more than 5000 in
worth so I sold what I could and when I rested there was a cut scene of the
moon rising and a where wolf and then I WAS the wolf! I was amazed and
completely surprized as this happened. SO my question is this, have I
stumbled over the start of BM or is thia the result of a monster I fought?

I don't ever recall fighting a wolf or anything else that might have caused
the infection. I did fight a vampire and got the disease that causes
vampirism but I cured it immediately and never became a vamp?

Anybody know what has happened?

I can go back to a previous save but I believe that when I once again come
to the full moon I will turn into the WW again.

Jim

Are you running any unusual mods? I've seen some mods that make it much
easier to become a vampire or werewolf. One makes you a vampire just for
walking near the Seyda Need silt strider. Obviously intended for people who
want to play a vampire right away without having to go to the trouble of
getting bitten and waiting 3 days for it to take effect. I know that this
is included bundled together with some other vampire mods, and there may be
an equivalent for werewolves...

Most probably the second. You get infected with the Werewolf disease
during the Bloodmoon main quest, but it occurs quite late within the
story. Especially it requires you to actually start and play through the
BM storyline. Trying to avoid spoilers now, but it's *very* obvious when
you are infected during the BM main quest, it doesn't just occur and you
might miss it.

The second way to become infected is by catching the disease when
fighting a werewolf, much like vampirism. In unmodded Morrowind there
are no werewolves outside Solstheim, so you must have a mod running
which adds these critters to vanilla Morrowind area, as you wrote you
have never set foot on Solstheim yet. There are a couple of mods which
add werewolves to Vvardenfell.

Do a quick check by opening the console (by hitting that key left of the
"1") and type:

show PCWerewolf
player->getspell "werewolf blood"

Both commands should return "1" if you are a werewolf. You probably can
fix yourself by executing these commands:

player->removespell "werewolf blood"
set PCWerewolf to 0

I havn't tested this in-game, just looking at the construction set. So
it might work or not, use at own risk. :)
The "werewolf blood" spell should be displayed in your
current-spell-icons list as "Sanies Lupinus", so check there to verify
as well.

Hahaha -oh, that's so very amusing.

You were right on it. Thanks for your help. I am not going to try to get
rid of it right away, I want to check it out a bit since I am already
infected.

There are a couple of test scripts in the constructor
set,
if you want to experiment, but these affects the
whole
cell, so that you catch the affliction upon entering
the
cell. some mod may have tried to make the SN silt
strider a source of the disease
