Okay for moderate gaming?

I customized a laptop on the hp website and, before it buy it I just wanna know how good the build is, if it's not good then, can you help me with another computer (laptop), of equal or lesser price?

The 4700mq is 2.4 ghz
They are the same architecture, one is simply clocked higher
I would probably go for it, since it would be around a 14-15% improvement, but if it costs a lot more it would probably not be worth it.


Whatever it can handle, I'm okay playing on medium graphics, or even low, but I don't want lag, and right now, I only have divinity 2, skyrim and gothic III

Solution
Your CPU is already one of the stronger parts, especially considering games don't push modern CPUs very hard. That CPU is similar in performance to an i5-4440 - In other words, it won't hold you back at all. I'd go for a better graphics card or nothing. I doubt you'll see a performance improvement in games otherwise.

The GT 740m performs between a GTX 650 and GTX 550- Okay for medium settings in new games without "lag", and high/ultra settings in older games.
