I tried going to group policy editor, there's no option to exclude the E drive on where the CD drive currently is.

"Hide empty drives" is already checked, drive E is still there. Done the diskpart, drive E is not searchable at all. Is this dead end?The utility you are using only works with hard drives. Depending on what you want to do, your can either hide and empty CD drive using this method, https://www.ilovefreesoftware.com/14/windows-10/hide-empty-removable-disk-drives-windows-10.html or hide the drive with a CMD prompt, so you have to use the CMD prompt again to get it back. https://www.nyazit.com/hide-and-unhide-drive-using-cmd/
How? And how can I disable it if in the first place it's not there at all?If you want to disable it, you can do that in Device Manager. Right-click Start and click Device Manager.
