I was wondering if it's safe to use a small paintbrush to brush dust off sensitive parts of the pc, such as GPU and motherboard. I've already done this before on my laptop, but want to make sure, it's definitely safe, before I go ahead and try it on my desktop.

Solution
A soft bristle pain brush for dusting is perfectly safe. Or a small paint brush for watercolor for the tiny spots. I am using such brushes for 15 years and my father for even longer, never ever had any problem.. You can purchase a soft brush from almoust any convinience store. Do not use force when brushing off the dust. Do not brush things like the CPU socket for example. Do not use hard brushes or brushes with metallic bristles. Soft (prefferably organic brushes) with non conductive materials are mandatory. Some cheap brushes with nailon/plastic...

Be sure to check that no brush hairs are left behind. Cheers.
