[SOLVED] Old Board issues: Asus m5a99x memok light continuous blinking

This past holiday season I purchased an am3+ board off the used market fora steal price. When the board arrived I set up a test bench and when I attempted to boot there was no signal. I then pressed the memok button and the led then started blinking. Ever boot attempt after the led wold always blink. I attempted to shuffle around the dims to different slots as well as resetting the cmos. From my current perspective it seems as though I may have to order some dummy sticks so i can install windows and then update the bios but I am still looking to option to a avoid that.

The CPU doesn't seem to have any bent pins as I tried swapping it to another board which posted just fine

Do you think getting a new ram kit will solve the problem?

Did you use a GPU? You did not say anything about it, if you don't use a GPU, you will not get any signal, because the MB does not have the iGPU at all, and you did n't post what cpu you had. So I depended on what you said: the PC does not get signal, and the CPU works with other MB.

As obvious as it is it's important to ask. Yes I am using a gpu. Honestly I think it's either the ram slots are dead as suspected or I need to buy some ram from asus' qvl. Thanks for the help but I think I'm gonna return it and keep looking around
