I am planning in buying MSI B360 Gaming PLUS, I5-9400F and 16gb DDR4 2666 MHZ.

My question is: Do I need to change my case because of the USB connector or can I keep this more than spacious and beautiful full tower?

Thank you in advance! it is my first post on this community but i do come here very often to get some much useful info!

I wouldn't use that PSU with anything that resembles a computer or a computer component due to it's horrible reputation and bad build quality, regardless of how much the wattage says on the sticker.

Regarding the case, you can get something more minimal since you're not going to be using the additional space when you have an matx board in that chassis.

The PSU has been serving me faithfully since december 2010 never had an Issue with it :/ The card I am looking for is an ATX sized card I don't want the matx version

I agree with Lutfij, no point having a large case when you don't need the space.

The PSU has been working for 8 years, don't you think it is way beyond it's MTBF and its retirement is long overdue? Specially so with a power hungry graphics card.

Another thing is your your system's power draw a 500-600W PSU is enough and a 1KW PSU (even a good quality one) is way more than enough. That means even at full system load the PSU would be under around 50-60% load which, in essence, is not that really efficient.

You can keep the case though it appears it does not have front usb3 ports on it to go with your new motherboard but the new motherboard does have 4 front usb2 ports on it that will work just fine.
You can always get a front mounted USB3 adapter that firs inside one of the 3.5inch or 5.25 inch drive bays if you want usb3 up fron. You will have plenty usb3 on the rear of the case with the new motherboard.

I too vote on retiring the Old Diablotek PSU. It's served you well. Time to let it retire gracefully.
