[SOLVED] Old case with ac97 front audio

I have a very old case that I've reused through numerous builds. It has what I believe is ac'97 front audio hookups. I'm trying to connect it to an Asrock Z270 Killer SLI/ac mobo without any luck. I've tried the configuration located in the handbook but no bueno.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get it working?

You can certainly buy pre-made adapters. But re-pinning it yourself should work.
