Hello,

want to ask question about my build.

Mobo: MSI B85M Night Elf
Proc: Intel Core i5 4570
Gpu: Gtx 970

Recently, some of my games after their big update make my processor usage 100%. I experience stutter sometime.

The temp is ok, only the usage for my cpu is at maximum.

Question is what processor i can replace with if i don't want to change my motherboard?

It happen after the big update in apex and pubg.
Gta 5 no issue. My fps dropping when the stutter happen

Every motherboard has its own 'highest possible CPU'. Try checking the motehrboard's manufacturer's website for that information regarding compatible CPUs.

You have an older i5, so 4C/4T. The only upgrade that makes mild sense is to move to an i7 to gain hyperthreading. Moving to a 4C/8T cpu might help. The obvious choice is the 4770k. Due to the age of everything i wouldn't spend much on it. See if you can find a used one for $20-40.

I think 4745454b has given you an insightful answer. And besides I am not sure you can expect much improvement on these CPUs. In any case you can always use http://cpuboss.com/compare-cpus to compare two CPUs, or your current CPU with the one you have your eyes on and are going to purchase.

Just upgrade to a budget ryzen 3100 or 1600 af (if you can find one for a good price) that would be my reccomendation, but if you would like to stick to your current platform, you should upgrade that cpu to a 4670k or 4690k since those should do 4.5ghz pretty easily from what ive heard
