My old LG Octane (phone like Env series) died last year and I was wondering if there would be any way of retrieving the data off of the storage chip (wherever that might be located). The phone only powers on when I plug it in the charger, but it only flashes the Verizon Wireless logo in a boot loop every couple of seconds. I was wondering if there would be any way of either getting all of my data off of the phone or fixing it. Maybe replacing the chip onto another Octane could work???Any suggestions as to how to do this or what the problem may be? Thank you.

Solution
Bring it in to a computer repair shop or Verizon store and see what they can do. It may be possible to move the memory chip to another device, and there are places in China that do that for iPhones to swap to larger memory. In the US, don't know for sure.

It is possible you have LG Octane phone. LG phone support android software which store all phone memory detail in google ID . When you use another android phone with same google Id it recover all the detail in phone memory ...because google store all memory in an account......but you could not recover external memory....

This is not really correct. Your saved files like pictures and video would only be saved in your Google logon if you set them up that way (Google Drive, Photos, etc...). And if they were setup that way, there wold be no question about retrieving it from a year ago since it would all be back on the new device already.

It is not an Android phone, let alone a smartphone in general. It is a feature phone running on BREW operating system.
