I'm upgrading an old Dell desktop for a person who's really only going to use the box to do AOL-based email and some web surfing. This is a budget upgrade. I'm going to put XP Pro on it.
It's got a 200W PS in it, which I'd like to keep.
My current build plan, all from NewEgg, is as follows:
o AMD Athlon II X2 250 Regor 3.0GHz 2 x 1MB L2 Cache Socket AM3 65W Dual-Core Desktop Processor
o Foxconn M61PMP-K AM3 NVIDIA MCP61P Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
o Crucial 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model
o Western Digital Caviar Green WD5000AADS 500GB 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Hard Drive -Bare Drive (open box)
Anyone see anything that's going to cause a problem here? Will that 200W PS be enough?
Also, the current MB is a standard Micro ATX 9.6x9.6, while the Foxconn is 9.6x8.2. Can I assume the mounting holes are standardized from the back edge and will still line up even though it's not quite as wide?
TIA for the feedback.
