Old Desktop Salvage :: What Can I Salvage from my Old Desktop?

Hey Everyone,

I was cleaning out my storage room and came across my old desktop. It is a Dell Windows XP professional 1-2cpu, I'm not completely sure about the specs but I did notice it only has 1gb ram which is divided into 4 sperate cartridges with 256mb each. The motherboard is an intel 845E or maybe that's the processor not sure.
My questions are can I salvage any of the parts?
Should I simply just recycle it all?
