Old Dot Matrix Using USB

Hello,
I have an old panasonic kxp3200, i just bought a lpt to usb adaptor hoping to free up the processor on my xp pc when printing. However, the pc recognises the printer is there on start-up but will not print at all. Any suggestions?

I would check the various settings in the BIOS for the LPT port -- bi-directional etc.

One of them might work with the adapter.

I'm afraid there's a history of problems with so-called USB to legacy port adapters. In many cases they just don't work.

have you checked in control panel if your printer is online? right click on it - select use printer online

if not working, let me know
