Old game want more fps.

So I got a very old game called gtr2. Ive been working on some high detail mods and I want to get more fps and more detail out of it. I am using 2x 660 sc's on normal clock and 2x 8gb 1600 ram running at 1333. I get some fps lag sometimes and want to know if i should disable the sli. I am not sure how to overclock with 2 cards. I got 10000 rpm main drive and run at max of 1600 x 1400. I don't have 3 monitors set up so i wont be doing that yet. Any ideas to increase the fps and quality?

firstly, why is your ram only running at 1333?

no reason to disable SLI... just download MSI afterburner and bump up the clock and memory on the GPUs. it will adjust both together. Also setup a custom fan profile with more agressive fan speeds to keep them cool.

As to the lag, very possibly CPU. what is your CPU? can you overclock it?

I cant figure out how to disable the limit on the ram. Will msi work with evga cards? CPU is stock and afraid to oc. I dont care about the noise i run my fans at max 24. My computers never shut off.
