Old games which should have been remade with new engine

Roadwar 2000 series. I think it would be fun if it is to be remade
using a squad based engine, research strategy hybrid such as X-COM.

Warhammer series that set in medieval era. Remake with TotalWar engine.

Man, I loved Roadwar 2000! I played it on my Atari ST back in the 1980s and
still have very fond memories of it now. Roadwar Europa was good too, but I
was able to finish it much more quickly.

Totally agreed. Also Master of Magic, Missile Command, M.U.L.E.
Of course many have been. There are many versions of all of those. The
Space HoRSE remake of MULE seems to be right on the mark.

If you go to SourceForge.net and search for old games you will see many
projects working on remakes. They are projects that you can jump in on if
you are really interested in seeing one done. As a programmer, graphics,
sounds, or even just a beta tester. Unfortunately I dont see any based on
RoadWar which vastly surprises me. If you come across anyone doing it
please have them contact me about getting it published
