Hi, I have just installed a new gpu into my pc, the old gpu required two 6 pin plugs and my new one only has one 6 pin plug. When I plug in either of the plugs to the new gpu it gets power but the monitor shows no signal. I have also installed a new cpu and sshd at the same time.

Gpu: ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 3gb
Gpu: AMD FX 8350
Hard drive: Seagate firecude 1TB
Mobo: gigabyte GA78 LMT- USB 3
Psu: FSP 500w-60HCN
Ram: adata AD3U1333W4G9-B

Solution
What are the names of both the old and new processors?

The motherboard (rev 4.1, 6.0, 5.0) should support an AMD FX 8350 without a BIOS update needed. If there is an older revision of the board I would try performing a BIOS update. If it works like the older CPU but not the AMD FX 8350 then the CPU may be defective. That or installation error.

new GPU needs less power then old one hence the single plug. my video card needs an 8-pin and a 6-pin
is the speaker connected to the motherboard?

step 17
if you need to make a speaker
canned diagnostic speaker rant
The diagnostic speaker is the motherboards main diag feedback device.
the motherboard may be telling you where the problem is.
my speakers have this plug

I use lamp wire but any stranded wire will do. literally any stranded wires. strip one end like so
http://www.antiquelampco.com/Shades/CordColors.jpg
attach the stripped end into the speaker spring clips on the speaker.
the other end of the wire should be trimmed like so the semi strip
https://wesbellwireandcable.com/images/cutwire.png
by doing a semi strip the wire case is now the socket.
plug one wire to the first pin, and the second onto the fourth pin.
power on the system and listen for beeps
end canned rant

- Try reseating the graphics card. Try another PCIe slot if available.

- If that doesn't help, try reinstalling your old card. If that doesn't work then I would install the older CPU.

- Recommend updating your motherboard BIOS to latest version with old GPU + old CPU, installing the new CPU+old card to verify CPU works, then installing the new GPU last.

So I've narrowed it down to the new CPU, everything works with the old CPU in but once the new one is in then I get no post beep or monitor signal. I've tried reseating it multiple times and it doesn't feel like it sits in the mother board as tight as the old one. Any ideas?
