[SOLVED] Old HDD os swap

I can't find a solid answer on this.
My old laptop is no longer viable
So I'm wondering if I bought the same exact laptop, if I could swap my old Harddrive to the new pc and have it boot up the same as before with all of my programs and data intact.

Yes as long as its the same exactly laptop which means you need to match the long model or product number found on the label on the bottom of it;
