[SOLVED] Old HDD with win 7

Hello, I have an old win 7 hdd that I want to access. I have a win 10 that I plugged it into by using a kingwin adapter. It is recognized in disk management but says not initialized. I have searched online and here but I dont see a fix, some suggestions I am unsure of, an a whole lot of I dont want to accidently erase it. I have removed my win 10 ssd and plugged this win 7 hdd in and I can run it in safe mode only. I am trying to access the emails. Thanks.

What email program? Sincere safe mode works. You can likely just copy the email databases into another drive. Then copy them to your current computer.

Location of the database depends on the program.

i don't usually bother with those adapters. i plug it directly in with a sata connection. your pc will still boot to win 10 but the drive will be easier to work with hooked directly to the mobo sata ports.

maybe we know where stuff is stored for a specific use
