by mistake i bought a Hitachi hde721010sla330, is this hard drive too slow for games? will i notice lot of difference between this and for example a new western digital caviar blue?, this hard drive has 32 mb cache 7200 rpm and is 3.0 gb/ s it has 3 platters

Usually, a newer model of some product is considered to be better than an older one. Though, when it comes to gaming, only your loading times will be affected by the HDD. Furthermore, as this drive is 7200 RMP, you will not really experience any noticable performance difference between the two drives.
The fact that it is SATA 2 doesn't really matter as the drive's speed can't reach the limit of SATA 2.

So, as you have already bought this drive, I would advise you to just stay with it.
