old home outlets vs. PSU wattage concerns

my current rig has a Geforce 630 GPU, which required 300w. (current PSU is a 220w) is a 300w enough? or should I get a more powerful PSU? Also, my house is old. it`s outlets date between the late 1960`s, and 1970`s. So I`m concerned how much output would be safe to use. Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Note: I`m working on building a gaming computer, so will be upgrading the motherboard as well. not clear which I`m getting as of yet, will keep you informed.

As far as wall plugs, if its a 120v (standard American plug), and you can draw power from it with another device, it's fine.

If you have a concern about surging, get a power surge protection strip.

As far as the power supply, from what I've read, you should be good with a 300w.
