So I have an Asus X58C, a very old machine with low performance standards even for its time, but that's not the point here. It has a Celeron 220 which theoretically is made for full desktop PCs, but Intel decided to put it in a laptop, and I want to upgrade to a Core 2 Duo T9400 which is at years difference.
But the big "oof" is that I read somewhere that PBGA is not compatible with BGA. I don't care about the overheat or the performance loss because of the higher TDP(I will buy an external fan cooler and I will lower the speed and voltage).
Can I upgrade it? Or am I stuck with this desktop CPU on a laptop
