Question Old laptop CPU upgrade

So I have an Asus X58C, a very old machine with low performance standards even for its time,but that's not the point here. It has a Celeron 220 which theoretically is made for full desktop PCs, but Intel decided to put it in a laptop, and I want to upgrade to a Core 2 Duo T9400 which is at years difference.
But the big "oof" is that I read somewhere that PBGA is not compatible with BGA. I don't care about the overheat or the performance loss because of the higher TDP(I will buy an external fan cooler and I will lower the speed and voltage).
Can I upgrade it? Or am I stuck with this desktop CPU on a laptop

Isn"t that the GPU? I mean,by no offence, I want to change only the CPU and the SiS dedicated GPU is sticked to the MTB from what I know. When I was little I "accidentally" burned the CPU. I don't know how,but I managed it, so I think it can be changed.

I can't address the processor change.
But, I can assure you that if you can upgrade the HDD to a ssd you will have a very noticeable improvement in performance.

Why do you think that the CPU can't be soldered as well?

If you scroll down to the "Sockets Supported" section it is listed as "BGA" meaning it's soldered.
