Old marker while holding LMB + drag on desktop

Windows 10 randomly changed a setting again...
Suddenly while holding LMB + drag the marker (I'm just gonna call it a marker, I don't know any other name for it) became like the marker the older versions of Windows are using: (http://imgur.com/OGVCOal)

But it's still normal in the File Explorer: (http://imgur.com/uXjrln6)

Does anybody know how to revert this setting?

Do you have any screen capture programs running as I can only get that function to work if I have icons showing and its the blue square in both cases.

Go to Advanced system settings (Right click on your windows logo> System> Advanced system settings)
Go to Advanced tab
Under performance hit settings
Make sure the check box is checked [Show translucent selection rectangle]
