[SOLVED] old MB and Intel® Core™ i7-950 Processor

Hello everyone

will it make a difference in my video editing if a only upgrade my graphic card? Suggestion of card would be appreciated if so.

My actual GPU is a nvidia Geforce GTX 770.

All depends on the software being used, Most software can use GPU’s via CUDA or OpenCL, implementations. However some are still restrained by the CPU. That's why is always better to have a well balanced system, unless the program that you are using specifically uses more GPU recourses.

i use Pinnacle Studio 23 ultimate and it use CUDA as accelarater, but since i want to do 2,75K and 4k editing the rendering and editing is sluggish.

So if i only upgarde my graphic card ou is a 2Go with a 6go i was wondering if it would help .

Since your motherboard is 1366, you usually can pick up a 6 core Xeon. What model board do you have (i dont speak Spanish so I cant easily read that)?

What PSU do you have? What's your total budget?

the cpu is

8M Cache, 3.06 GHz, 4.80 GT/s Intel® QPI

Budgetly speaking i would go arond 600$ CAD tx included

PS : i have also check to update all the componants (MB,CPU,Graphic card fan cooler by those, but i want to wait a bit before spending 2500$.

So that's what i'm trying to do insted and see if it would worth it to only change the graphic card.

Well you can always buy a new graphics card now and later upgrade the rest of your components, of course you will see a difference but your new graphics card won't be fully utilized unless you update your CPU.
