Hi,
I bought Battlefield 4 recently, and noticed I can't multitask anymore - I even have to open battlelog in explorer since chrome takes so much memory. Also levels take so much time to load - probably because of the 5800rpm HDD. I though I would go for the 4770 or the 4570 but the frequencies seem really low for that price - I now have a quad core at 2.5Ghz and the i5 one is only about 3.2Ghz. Is it worth buying a new one? Also if I have a 450W PSU I dont know if I can go for a 7200rpm HDD - which I would also like (long loading times).

I want to be able to play all new games - not necesairily on highest graphic details (however in BF4 I can go for ultra - the oinly thing slowing me down are textures - RAM) I dont know about the price - the CPU should be about half the price of the whole thing if possible :)

So if you have any iedas how I should proceed any ideas and opinios are welcome :) thanks

Its not all about frequencies,if your CPU is overclocked to 6.0 ghz, it will still be slower than new generation intel CPU.
Btw here is something to consider for mid to high level gaming

Hi,

The big question is what is your current config ?

First of all the frequency in a CPU don't mean that much anymore unless you are comparing same kind of cpu

( core i5 vs core i5. Not core i3 vs core i5)
Also ( a core 2 doe e8400 is clock @ 3 GHZ, but get it's a** kicked by core i3 1.8 ghz)

If you want a fast loading Hard drive : get a SSD.

As for the psu ? How old and what brand is it ?

At that point, it seems you have to change everything.
I recommend a good antec power supply (at least 500w) But it depends what GPU you are getting, if you overclock and how many driver you are getting.
For BF4 more cores the better and have to be paired with at least a 200-250 $ video card to play at descent resolution.

Hi sorry - I thought my config gets shown here :) - Intel DQ35JO | Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.50 GHz | GEIL 4GB(2x2GB, 800MHz, 1.8V |
GIGABYTE 560Ti | WesterDigital 500GB (5800rpm)\Kingston SSDNow V300 60GB |
Chieftec 450W | Samsung SH-S202

I would like to go for 8GB RAM (1600 probably) and a 7200rpm - I have an SSD for win7

Appreciate the help :)

EDIT: So far I've come up with this mabye:
Intel Core i5-4670
ASUS B85-PLUS - Intel B85
Samsung SH-224DB
WD Caviar Blue EX - 1TB
Kingston HyperX black 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1600 XMP

what do you think? would this work?
