Like the thread says I just bought an elite level monitor. One of the big selling points for me is the 240z (also 1ms) which it's advertised as having. When I used the mouse on the new monitor i noticed a bit of what seemed like lag; it just seemed a bit slower. Which, as you know, is bad for gaming. I wasn't sure if it was the response time of the hz so I checked the display settings, went into advanced display settings and there wasn't any setting above 144hz so I knew it was the hz. This is quite troubling because I'm using the same HDMI cable that run at 240hz on my old monitor. I tried with a 2.1 HDMI cable (which by the way aren't functional because they're too short) and same deal: only 144hz max. If anyone could share some light on this situation that would be greatly appreciated. Have I been duped(BTW I bought this monitor from a reputable company)? Is there something I haven't done that I could do to make it run at 240hz?
Here is a link to the display specs for the new monitor: https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/model/128c1f95.
Many thanks.

Look at the actual manual instead of 3rd party sites, I downloaded the manual from Samsung. Any pc that has a gpu good enough to game at 1440p 240Hz should have display port. What gpu are you using?
I'm not the most switched on when it comes to computers and such but I think this is what you're after:
ASUS GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER DUAL EVO Graphics
Card 8GB GDDR6, GPU Upto 1845MHz, Dual Axial-tech
Fan, 2.7 Slots, HDMI+3DP, 1X8 Pin + 1X6 Pin, 267mm
Length, Max 4Display, For: CHAMGR0521 (MPN:
DUAL-RTX2070S-O8G-EVO)

I see it says "HDMI+3DP" but I can't seem to find a DP port on my computer anywhere.

Wow, Hallelujah. Found the DP it and it's working at 240hz. Thanks for your help.

Use display port. XBox only supports 120Hz anyway.

I'm trying to find whether it is in fact a 1ms monitor or 2(advertised as 1 but GTA 5 didn't feel like it). I had a look on the Samsung website and couldn't find anything detailing the specifications. I only found this website: https://www.samsung.com/nz/support/model/LC32G75TQSEXXY/. I looked at this manual:
User Manual
  • ver 01
  • 7.44 MB
  • Aug 11. 2020
and I couldnt find specifications on it. If you could link me to the right manual or website I'd greatly appreciate it.
