Old monitor, new gtx card

How am I going to connect my old dell e196fpf to a new gtx 1070?

I tried getting anew hdmi to vga cable, which didn't work because they say they are phasing out analogue connections... any ideas?

You will have to purchase an ACTIVE VGA adapter. It could be HDMI, DVI or DP. But it has to be an ACTIVE adapter.
