Hi,
My PC is an upgraded Dell Inspiron 546, and I am beginning to wonder what lays ahead for the future.
My goal here is to be able to play the latest game releases coming in 2013. (e.g Watch Dogs) and I'm pretty sure my system is inadequate at the moment, the specs are as follows:
Motherboard- Dell 0F896N (AM2+)
CPU- AMD Phenom ii x2 565 Black Edition (3.4 GHz), overclocked to 3.9 GHz
Still with stock cooler
GPU- Radeon HD 5670 (Sapphire 1gb edition)
RAM- 4gb (2 x 2gb DDR2)
PSU- CIT Gold 550w
320gb HDD
Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)
At the moment I suppose it's alright for gaming but I feel it is far from being called a 'Gaming Rig'
My main concern is the Motherboard, which, using DDR2 and lacking newer technologies may hold the system back.
Do you think this is the case, and should I just further upgrade this system with a beefy graphics card, SSD ect. and still get results; or is it the end of the road and I need to build a new system with a better Motherboard?
Thanks
