This is my motheboard. https://www.asus.com/Motherboards/P7P55DE_Premium/

I want to put a Geforce RTX 2070 into the PCI express 2.0 slot on it.

I looked at benchmarks of people running new cards on 16x 2.0/3.0/4.0 slots and the fps was basically the same.

The only thing I was told to check out is if my motherboard bios is " UEFI " and I'm not sure if my mobo is.

Can someone tell me if this card will work okay in my system? I don't mind if its overkill or if I should downgrade the card because of a bottleneck, if it will work I think it will be a good card and that I can possibly move it in the future to a new mobo.
Thank You.

Well I just talked to Nvida support and they said that 2060 super 2070 and 2070 super are backwards compatible cards and that if I have a PCIexpress 2.0 slot the card will work in that slot. So whoever is saying that bios won't even post if you plug in a 2070 must just be trolling because I was just told by nvidia that it works fine without UEFI. Legacy bios is okay. It must be an AMD problem... no legacy support no ray tracing cards over heat and fail 1st year something like that.
