Hi, just a quick ask.

I got an old PC i want to upgrade for a secondary use PC. it has a OEM MSI MS-7525 VER:1.0 and it supports maximum 4GB 800Mhz. However, if i put, lets say, 4GB 1066Mhz DDR2 ram memory, will it still work and underlock the RAM to 800Mhz as modern motherboards?

Theoretically yes, but you will only know for sure by testing it yourself.
Why not getting 800MHz instead?
People in my region mostly create businesses that sell RAM sticks, processors and office PCs(optiplex, compaq) with high demands so almost all of them have almost exact same pricing which is mostly 9usd per 2gb stick or 18usd per 4gb stick. But, i found a guy that is selling 4gb for 10usd for both sticks but only with higher frequency. The guy just wants to sell the sticks quickly without thinking so that could be a good solution just by putting it in the system and working as regular 800Mhz sticks.
