Hello, I'm still using 2.66Ghz Intel Core 2 Quad along with 4GB ram and 1GB Nvidia GT 620.
Recently I installed 2 newer games, Metal Gear: phantom pain and Crash Bandicoot n-sane trilogy which seem to run just fine on lower settings. I just wonder what other newer game with req. high above my comp. specs could be run without lags.

CS:GO
The elder scrolls V (not special edition just the first release)
Rocket league (not a lot of FPS, but you wont be fps lagging)
Borderlands 2

Thank you for your reply MrChicken, I was thinking to just upgrade my GPU, but eventually I'll need a better CPU and mor RAM to play the games I'd like to play smoothly. Ahh the deception.. Games require better and better specs every year, what build would you recommend for "future" gaming?

I heard that there will be two new nvidia GPUs released this year. Maybe you can buy one of them?

Ehhh that's probably going to be some really high end ones, GTX 1180 and maybe 1170 which would get a massive bottleneck form a Core 2 Quad

Yeah I know, I was thinking to spend some money on whole new build but I'm not really sure what to buy, that will run any game for years.. Also it would cost a fortune :/

I remember when I had to upgrade to 4MB of ram so that I could play DOOM on my 386.

It used to be that you could keep the same PC for a long time before having to replace it(just had to deal with the occasional "upgrade"). These days though games advance more quickly, thus system requirements get bumped up more quickly. Unfortunately, your system is too old now to bother upgrading. It's definitely time to start a new build.
How long it will last all depends on how much you put into it(what parts you get) and how quickly future games "advance".
