Old PC Game! Trying to find! Help! Might have gone crazy!

Hi,

I'm trying to find an old PC game I think I used to play a few years ago, I can't remember much and searches have proven to be pointless as I can't seem to find it anywhere! I might have even made it up! I thought I would post on here and see if anyone else has played such a game before!

All I remember (And with this I will sound crazy) is..

- Set at night time
- A character is trying to find someone who got lost or taken
- You have to go round all the buildings, go inside and talk to people, only I think I remember (and this is the crazy part) that the people were like Hippos or some sort of animal! (I know right!)
- There is a beach and there are little (maybe red) crabs that walk around the areas!

I might have dreamed this LOL but if you do know then PLEASE help me! Its been bugging me for a long time!

How many years ago? Windows 95 days? Five years ago? Was it 2D, 3D?

Oh dear I forgot to add! I think it was maybe 3d if I remember right! And more then 6 years ago so I'm thinking Windows 95 - 98 but then again I'm not sure its annoying lol!
