Question Old PC randomly crashes, get rid of it, years later buy a new one and starts crashing the same way

So this issue has been haunting me for years and I don't know how to get rid of it.

My parents bought me a desktop PC around 2007. Throughout its entire lifespan, it worked like a charm except for the last few years. It was 2017 when this issue I mentioned began happening: random crashes. PC would completely freeze and the only way to fix it was to manually restart the computer. No BSOD. If some audio happened to be playing, it would glitch and get stuck in a short loop. This is what I call a monumental crash. It started as a series of unusual events but it became more frequent as time went by. I even changed the PSU because a faulty one might cause this kind of issues. Still the same. I also read it could be due to the graphic card but I was afraid the change would be for nothing and, since it was an old PC, I gave up in 2019, got rid of it and bought myself a laptop.

Fast forward to 2022, I wanted a desktop PC for gaming so I bought a new one, built from scratch in August. At this moment, you probably know what I'm about to say... yes, the random crashes are back. On a new PC, totally unrelated to the previous one.

I don't know the old PC specs.

New PC specs:
  • Corsair Vengeance (2x16GB) 5600 MHz (PC5-44800) CL36 DDR5
  • Corsair MP600 Force 1TB PCIe 4.0 x4 NVMe R2
  • i7-12700KF
  • Gigabyte Z690 UD Socket 1700
  • RTX 3070
  • Corsair RM Series RM750 80 Plus Gold 750W Modular

About OS, I used Windows 7 in old PC. When crashes started I thought it was a W7 issue so I switched to Linux Mint, which also crashed. I used Windows 10 in new PC and then moved to Windows 11. Crashes happen in both W10 and W11.

I'm not sure if the issue is the exact same as the old one as I never figured it out but they really look the same.
Also, it seems it usually happens when the computer is idle for some time (not always, as I've had it crash on my face while using the PC once or twice). Because of this, I thought of disabling power saving mode, but still crashes. I've also looked at the event log but I think there isn't useful information as it stops logging when the crash happen and then I get a critical error Event ID 41: "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first".

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

cables from old
Nop, I threw them away in case they were damaged. Using brand new ones.
check temperatures
Already did, nothing unusual. At least not immediately before the crash...
check drives for errors with manufacturer's tool
I'm not sure how to check that, I'll see what I can do.
run memtest86 usb autoinstaller
I'd swear I already did test it but since I'm not sure, I'll test it again.
anything installed like firewall, antivirus, tuning tools?
No firewall or antivirus. Regarding tuning tools, not sure if Gigabyte App Center counts but yes. That's what I use to update the BIOS.
install all latest drivers and bios
Yes, I always do.
same case as the old one?
No, it's new as well.
power outlet is the same?
Yes, it's the same. This is the only thing both PC have in common. I suspected of this as well but I don't have the equipment or the knowledge to actually test the outlet and see if there's something wrong with it. Also, I've been connecting all kind of devices to this outlet for years with (apparently) no issue at all but yeah, still sus.
any adapters used?
Other than a USB splitter for the keyboard and mouse, nop. And this is splitter is new, bought it some months ago.
