First of all I will need these things ---PCI To PCI-E Express 16X Riser Converter Adapter Card

It specifically says on there that its for PCI 32bit to PCIe 16x Slots, Question is notice how the adapter is a PCI- X card ( It has 3 sections in the slot sections but the PCI x16 only has 2 separators for the slot, I was told you can just plus them in just like you can 1x connector to a 16x slot. (Thoughts?)

Magma PCI13BP Slot 32-bit/33Mhz PCI Expansion Board

My question is If I Power up this Magma board with 2x 2500watt PSU POWER and then connect a PCI Extender converter card from one of the spare 3.0 16x slots on the ASROCK Z87 Formula OC mother board I have. (Off course since the Asrock will have 6 R9 290 Cards on it it wiil have a PSU gold rated of about 1800-2000w)

Do you think this will work if I fill the magma with multiple R9's and POWER them appropriately? Only for Hashing/calculations (MINING) NOT for gaming - kind of obvious right??? , So currently have 3 plugged into the z87 my main motherboard and working fine want to end up having around 18-20 R9's in total including on the magma board, currently These can hash around 800-900 KH per/S

Please I would like someone who has at-least knows whats going on and knows OLD vs New GPU and PCI slots & also Mining I would like to have a clear answer yes or NO and if its a NO there should be a reason why its a No The Adapter clearly state its for a PCI 32 bit to convert to new GPU . So if everything is powered right and converted right - why wouldn't it work ? I mean it is just for hashing, No gaming what so ever!

My plan is I do not really want to buy so many Mother boards I only want to have 1 Motherboard + PCI Expansion bay a few PSU to handle all of them + 1 SDD and 16GB Ram + WIN 8 64BIT + 20 GPU Cards Sapphire r9 290

I believe the new PCI-e Expansion boards are WAY!! WAY!! overpriced and not worth it... ---AN example is [7 Slots for like $3000USD] << Come on Really? All I want is the board.. Its a simple board with chips, capacitors and slots - Even A motherboard is more complicated I 10x more cheaper.

And buy the way I'm not skimping on Any other thing, Gold rated PSU's, Memory, SSD, GPU, USB_Risers 1x -16x (Powered) ALL of them.

BTW I read somewhere on the forum that the arrangement he's trying to make, if he tries to attach that to a wall socket, he'll trip a fuse/ burn the house wiring down.
2000W from a single socket? Nah, I don't think so.
Buying multiple boards?? what's the problem if you do that? Why do you want 20 slots on a single board?

WHy not ? :) What is the reason If you power it all up what do you think will happen? Nah seriously can you explain why it wont wont cause in theory shouldnt it work? I am not being a smart ass I actually would like to learn abit

ANd after you explain would you please be kind enough to show me something that may work I really do not want to build many PC's Id rather just a PCI expansion board and 1 mother board.

One of the problems will be slots.
The 290 is a dual slot card. The cards you wish to use simply won't fit unless you want to use a PCI-E extension cable.
How will you connect to a motherboard?
Whatever connection you provide to the motherboard, will it have enough bandwidth to provide data flow of 20 PCIe 3.0 x16 cards? That's a max bandwidth of 6.4 TB/s.
Also as I have already mentioned, how will you power this setup? You'll need 5500W of power for the cards alone.

Thats the question I thought someone can answer :) Power isn't an issue, 2 x 2500 watt Into each ATX plug on the Board and the Risers solves the Dual card issue, and also I was thinking link the mother board Via one of the 16 x PCIE 3.0 Slots on the Asrock FOrmula OC..

Nah? I wish I had all of this to experiment with dammit,, However I do have an old mother board Which I think has 2 of these older PCI slots. Hmmmm

Ok so what does 1 Cards bandwidth take when Hashing, No graphic involvment. DOnt forget 1x/ Mini Pcie Slot 16x 4x 8x Lanes Hash ALL the same speeds.

We have monkeymousesaying > No

Then we have cst1992 sugesting maybe if you can deal with a few issues. Seems like he has some sort of sense as he is taking things serious.

Then we have the best answer of all WOW >>>>>>>> NoOnLt <<< You are just awesome bro... Bahhahaha Judge ROFL

So can anyone answer what one cards bandwith does but ONLY hashing and remember No graphic involvment. DOnt forget 1x/ Mini Pcie Slot 16x 4x 8x Lanes Hash ALL the same speeds.)

And how do I check bandwith of the MOBO I have, I checked but cant find this info

You still can not split 1 any PCI-E slot to two or more as each individual PCI-E slot need to communicate with each individual GPU. And all that idea to use PCI with PCI-E have no sense at all, i can't even understand how one can have such idea.. It is different interfaces, and hardware communicate each other through interfaces, if it differs they won't. It is not only slot that differs... If You even would be wise to "There is a way but it involves a large mallet and some extreme violence." is still wouldn't work even if it fit...

Dumb questions dumb answers..

LOOOL Back to Bitcointalk where people know ABout Risers, 1x - 16x connectors and Bandwidth needed for mining and everything NOT related to the normal pc usage Peace out.
