I have a friend of mine who is in need of a new PC, and I have some old parts laying around that can be used in part of a new build, it's all DDR3 non ecc stuff

Ideally I would like to use up all the DDR3 ram I have spare
2x8gb
2x4gb (x2)
So in total 32gb of ddr3, and i want to use it all in a build for him but cant find a platform for it all to go on, I want to keep cost down as much as I can but not dirt cheap, I just ideally just need help finding a motherboard and cpu, the rest I can sort out. All help is appreciated, thanks!

Solution
Best bet I would say, find an old Dell optiplex with something like an i7 3770 in it. Max the ram and toss in a good gpu and call it good. Probably your cheapest route.

Something similar to this probably

Not a fan of hp, but this one is a lot less.

So you could probably do something like that. Max ram. Replace power supply with a better unit. Maybe a used rx 580 or something along...

In my own tower I have 16gb too!

ideally I wanted to get rid of all the ram I have, it's just collecting dust at this point 😂 got an old rx 250 which is good to go in the bin, and an fx 6300, better off getting a Dell and transplanting into a new case maybe?
