I was planning to upgrade my old rig with these parts (400-500 euro, gaming)

CPU - A10 7870k / i3 4170 / FX 8320 /
GPU - GTX 950 / R9 370X
RAM - 8 GB DDR3
MB - AMD / Intel

My old rig:

CPU - C2D E8200
MB - Asus P5K
HDD - Seagate 500 GB + 250 GB 16MB SATA2
Case - Coolermaster Centurion 534
PSU - Coolermaster Real Power 520W
Monitor - Samsung 931 BF

From my old rig I will still use - Case, PSU, HDD, and monitor. Next year I'm planning for 21-23 inch monitor.

I would go with an Asus AMD motherbaord and the A10 cpu and for the gpu I would go with the R9. The ram I would look at either Corsair or Patriot. You can get a good ASUS MB reasonable and some good DDR3 1600 or 1866 to make a pretty decent gaming rig.

Thanks for the reply, Jim.

Can someone else tell me what is the best solution for my budget? (i3 vs FX vs APU)

Maybe I should save more money, and go with i5 4460? What do you think?
