A different offset distance and a blocking piece so that it cant be inadvertantly fitted. Is there any way that it can be adapted to fit the standard PCI slot?

Solution alexoiu Aug 31, 2016 There are adapters https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-Express-Adapter-Card-PCI1PEX1/dp/B0037ECAM2, but it depends on the adapter you bought. I suggest returning it and getting a card like https://www.startech.com/au/Cards-Adapters/USB-3.0/Cards/4-Port-PCI-SuperSpeed-USB-3-Adapter-Card-with-SATA-SP4-Power~PCIUSB3S4
