Hi Tom and friends,
got an really old school question:
Want to upgrade my desktop system, which is really old. So i wonder if you think it is worth it:
MBO: ALiveXFire-eSATA2
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400 (AM2 socket)
RAM: 2GB KINGMAX 800Mhz - instead would put in 2x4GB 800Mhz Kllisre (USD 15)
GPU: Radeon 2600XT 256mb- instead would put in R7 260X 1Gb 128bit GDDR5 (USD 40)
HDD: Seagate HDD St3500..- would add Golderfir SSD 256GB (USD 27)
Power supply is Fortron fsp400-60thn-p 400W with 450W peak.
Total upgrade cost is USD 82. Do you guys think it is worth it. And has any of you had experience with 4GB "no name" ddr2 memory modules for AMD boards and no name SSDs?
In end what increase in performance can i expect? (upgrading it so my sister can play Sims 4 University xD)
