hi, i had to build a temporary system for a specific task ....
so i went with what i got.
P5Gz-mx.
e21XX its a dual core processor 1.8ghz. not sure about the model code on XX.
512MB single stick of ram.
PSU is brand new. 450w (tested)

unfortunately I cant hear system beep at start up.
also the screen is black, not even asus logo pop up.

tried changing some jumber to enable iGPU...
any suggestions is appreciated

On a system of that age I would recommend taking a look at the on mobo capacitors and see if any are leaking or busted.
Also, check the CMOS battery as it is likely dead and the system may not boot without it.

It may be helpful to mention what you are trying to accomplish in case some of the smart folks here know a work around.

Probably requires BIOS update.
For update you'll need a cpu, that is supported with initial BIOS version.

Check cpu support list.

thanks alot both of you.
i guess it was memory problem.
i took it out and used it in slot next to CPU.
seems fine now.
does that mean , this slot is broken? or should the first slot be used at first?

is my only option, windows XP with 512mb ram?
