Old tablet have a wifi speed of 130mbps but my laptop is only getting 72.2mbps

Hi, please excuse my poor English as is not my first language. I'm having issues with my wifi connection. Currently, my s7 edge is running at 144mbps, old Surface RT running at 130mbps but my dell inspiron 14 5000 series 5459 and Oneplus 3 is only at 72.2mbps and the adapter Dell is using is Intel(R) Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160. Security type is already set as WPA2-Personal, Encryption type at AES.

I've tried going to Properties > Configure > Advanced tab and changing both 802.11 n channel width for band 5.2/2.4Ghz to Auto and 20mhz only, didn't change anything. Wireless mode is already set as 802.11a/b/g

Since my S7 and surface RT is already capable of running above 130mbps through wifi, shouldn't my Dell laptop and OP3 be able to run above 130mbps as well. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks all.

Hm....That's an interesting issue that you have. I was going to say maybe your laptop NIC card is faulty, but since your O3 has the same issue well....I'm kinda stumped.

The only thing I can think is that perhaps you're logged into 2 different networks (2.4Ghz and 5.8 Ghz), and one of them is causing the bottleneck? Personally, my Galaxy Note 5 is capable of accessing both bands but I'm not sure if the O3 has that capability (I know for a fact that my buddy has a ZTE or something, and he only has access to my 2.4Ghz band at my house.).

I would check to make sure that (1) all of your devices are attempting to access the same band when performing the test and also (2) you're not streaming or using your network at all on any other devices while testing - turn off the wifi completely if necessary on your other devices.

If all things seem equal otherwise, my only other suggestion would be to contact your ISP and relate your problem to them to see if they have any ideas. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance, but that's the best I can come up with at this point. Good luck!!
