Most of my computer parts except the GPU and SSD date from 2013, but the PSU and case are from the Phenom 720 X3 days so I’m thinking of upgrading some things in the next month using Ryzen and possibly an MSI Pro Carbon X470 Motherboard.

Current system
CPU Intel 4670K
MB MSI Motherboard Z87 G45 Gaming
GPU EVGA GTX 1070
Memory Kingston 2 x 4 GB
SSD Samsung 830 Evo 256GB
HD Samsung HD1035SJ 1 TB
HD WD Caviar Black 640 MB WD640ALS1
PSU Corsair 650
Case Lian Li PC7 or PC8 series

I received an EVGA 750 Gold G3 PSU and a Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 as gifts, so they should be incorporated into the next build. I don't want to change the GPU yet but I need a larger SSD. My budget is around $1,000 more or less.

Parts I want to upgrade
CPU+MB $500
Memory $150-$200
SSD $150
Case $150
Totals $1000

1) What Ryzen processor should I go for?
2) What memory would go well with Ryzen/Pro Carbon X470 (or some equivalent)
3) What new case would have good cooling and be easy to work on?

Thanks

Something like this should be pretty good...
