Question Old WDMYCLOUD NAS not accessible now running Win11

Installed Win11 and now I find that it doesn't allow for connection to unauthenticated network storage. Hate to throw things away (like the motherboard I had to upgrade to to get TPM 2.0 for Win11) and would like to still use it. Seeing articles about enabling SMB through registry edits, but also warnings about security risk. Is reusing an old NAS (that I have all my media and backup files on) worth the reduced security risk?

Is there another copy of all this data that IS available in Win 11?
If not, you don't have a lot of choice. Make it work.
