Older Drivers Are Better?

Hey,

So I have this weird issue/idea. I have latest drivers and it feels like I'm getting A LOT less fps then I were getting. So I though, I'll rollback my driver to 368.89 on GTX 970 and give it a test if it actually increases my performance. What you guys think about it?

Try both and see which ones have the better FPS then keep whichever driver works better. Another possible reason your getting much less FPS is a conflict between the old drivers and new drivers, make sure you do a clean install or use DDU to get rid of the old drivers.

I used to run a GT 730 and noticed the newer drivers would not allow me to save voltage changes in Precision XOC. I rolled back the drivers because it was destabilizing my overclock. Afterwards it was fine. Also, you may want to see if there was any change in the NVIDIA Control Panel settings after the update. There are two settings that may net you some gains; one is switching to performance instead of optimal or adaptive power, and the other is switching texture from quality to high performance. But yes, something appears to be changing in the newer drivers.
